In September 2012, my brother, his friend Clay, and I went hiking. We had such an amazing time and had a lot of fun hiking in the wilderness. There is something about the wilderness that clears your head.
First we hiked past saddlebag lake into this amazing spot where we camped out. It started raining and then there was lightning everywhere. It opened up and Clay was able to take the picture that you see below.
I love this picture that Clay took because it actually shows you how beautiful that spot was. It shows all of the different colors and different lighting that was there when we were there. It's not something different from what we saw. Clay was so nice that he framed the picture for me and I actually have it up in my office. Every time someone sees it they are astonished; they always think that it's from National Geographic.
We started the trip, I wasn't exactly sure how I would do as far as hiking but it was actually a lot of fun and I think I did pretty good. The picture above is it was pretty cool spot where we were passing by this waterfall. It is a smaller waterfall but it was running pretty fast as you can see and was a lot of fun.
We also went to go see the bristlecone pines the oldest living trees in the world. I believe they have lived for 5000 years. Behind this tree is Clay and I think Albert my brother is actually hiding behind the tree.
If possible I would recommend going out and trying to camp or hike or do something outside. Clear your head and have some fun.
